About the role
The Branch Manager for Housing and Tenancy Services is responsible for providing strategic leadership and managing the operations of the branch location. This role focuses on the effective allocation and utilisation of resources while supporting staff to deliver high-quality outcomes for tenants that align with Home in Place's vision and mission. Responsibilities include:
* Lead local implementation of organisation policies, procedures and improvement initiatives within the Home in Place business plan, translating strategic objectives into practical operational outcomes.
* Provide direct leadership, supervision, coaching and performance management of employees, ensuring effective performance, accountability, and the efficient delivery of branch operations.
* Monitor branch KPIs, including arrears, vacancies, tenancy turnover, responsive repairs and tenant satisfaction.
* Foster a positive, accountable and client-focused culture within the branch.
* Oversee branch workload distribution, staffing coverage and workflow coordination to ensure service continuity.
* Collaborate with other departments to oversee the effective management of Home in Place's assets, resources, personnel, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and legislation.
* Strong stakeholder relationships, fostering collaboration and partnerships that support organisational and community outcomes.
* Provide advice and recommendations on local housing needs, community trends, policy development and operational procedures.
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess substantial experience in the Housing and Homelessness sector, including collaboration with governmental and non-governmental entities. Your expertise in people management, communication, and stakeholder engagement will be paramount. You will also possess:
* Qualifications in business management or significant leadership experience in community services.
* Proficiency in relevant legislation related to Housing, Homelessness, and Tenancy.
* Strong reporting and communication skills.
* Demonstrated experience in identifying and managing risks effectively.
* Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
* Proven track record in mentoring teams to achieve quality outcomes.
* Ability to develop and execute plans to meet various targets effectively.
