The Opportunity

Based in Nambour, on the Sunshine Coast, we have fantastic opportunity available for an experienced Industrial Electrician to join the Lactalis Nambour maintenance team.

- The role is required to work a 4 on 4 off rotating roster.
- No Saturday nights worked.
- Additional overtime available for small project jobs.
- Weekend, O/T, Night shift and Public Holiday Penalties apply.

The role will be responsible for:

- Responsible for carrying out all scheduled and required repairs and regular maintenance work of plant equipment.
- Perform any reasonable task, as directed, that is within the incumbent's qualifications, skills and experience, provided the task does not pose a health and safety risk.
- Comply with all Safe Operating Procedures.
- Ensuring that manufacturing lines are repaired and operational within a required time frame.
- Assisting with the installation of new plant equipment and structures in production and across the business.
- Observing all procedures, directions and training provided in relation to OH&S, and report immediately any hazard or behaviour which could result in an injury.
- Responsible for completing all documentation regarding maintenance work according to company standards. Accurate records must be kept of all failures, repairs, replacements and ancillary maintenance data.
- Service job orders across production, distribution, transportation, and shared services lines.

About you:

- Trade qualification with an electrical/mechanical license with a minimum 3-5 years of experience.
- Current LVR certificate.
- FMCG experience would be highly regarded particularly in the dairy industry.
- Must have PLC knowledge –Alan Bradley.
- VSD experience.
- Instrumentation experience would be highly regarded.
- Pneumatic/hydraulic experience would be highly regarded.
- Ability to build rapport across the organisation and communicate effectively in high pressure situations.
- Sound ability to operate a PC (email, word processing, SAP).
- Advanced ability to troubleshoot and fix any mechanical and machinery breakdowns and perform required adjustments to enable machinery to operate.
- Experience working within a continuous improvement environment would be highly desirable.
