Exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team to implement an integrated electronic referral system for the Parkville Precinct Hospitals.
The RMH is leading a project on behalf of the Parkville precinct hospitals (The RMH, the RCH, the Women's and Peter Mac) to implement an electronic referral system to digitise and improve referrals into Specialist outpatient clinics at each hospital. We are looking for an experienced project officer with a good understanding of health systems to join the team and work closely the 4 hospitals to deliver the new eReferral system.
About the role
Reporting to the Chief Health Information Manager, the eReferrals Project Officer will support the delivery of the project by coordinating activities, monitoring progress, preparing documentation, and assisting in engaging stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes. The Project Officer will work collaboratively with the other Parkville Health Services and the Parkville EMR teams to scope and plan the implementation of the electronic referral solution.
Grade 4 (HS4) $52,836.38 - Grade 4 (HS29) $58,409.68 per annum + salary packaging + super + 5-week's annual leave - Full-time equivalent to be pro-rated for part-time.

Position Summary
The implementation of the Parkville Precinct's Epic EMR has provided a unique opportunity for our Parkville Health Services; RMH, Peter Mac, RCH, and RWH to continue to expand our digital health maturity through the adoption of supporting digital solutions, with a key focus being electronic referral (eReferral) management.
Adopting an eReferral solution is a key priority for the Parkville Health Services and is universally recognised as a core foundation in improving care across healthcare settings. An eReferral solution will provide a mechanism for accurate and timely transmission of referral information to the Health Service resulting in improved communication with our external healthcare providers and better care outcomes for patients.
Reporting to the Chief Health Information Manager, the eReferrals Project Officer will support the delivery of the project by coordinating activities, monitoring progress, preparing documentation, and assisting in engaging stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes within the project timelines, on behalf of Peter Mac. This role will engage relevant stakeholders to provide key insights to referral workflows and processes and represent Peter Mac for future state decisions that will ensure proper translation and best adoption of the eReferrals solution for the organisation. The Project Officer will work collaboratively with the other Parkville Health Services and the Parkville EMR teams to scope and plan the implementation of the eReferral solution.
