About the role:
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Chef to join our supportive and friendly team at Baptcare’s Wyndham Lodge Community in Werribee. This is a casual position.
The Chef will ensure meals and refreshments meet residents' nutritional needs and preferences, and will adhere to Food Safety Program guidelines.
Key Duties:
* Contribute to the preparation of therapeutic diets and special meals.
* Follow recipes and prepare menus promptly.
* Assist the Head Chef with managing Food Safety Program compliance.
* Manage stock inventory.
* Maintain high standards of food handling practices.
* Deliver meals within the residence.
* Support the retail café and assist with functions and events.
About You:
You are passionate about advancing your hospitality career within Residential Aged Care, solution-focused, and committed to making a positive difference by aligning strategies with organisational goals.
You will ideally have:
* Relevant Food Handling and Hygiene Certificate.
* Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery.
* Experience in menu planning, ordering, and preparing special diets.
* Previous catering experience in aged care settings.
