Job Description
The opportunity
We are currently looking for an
Underground Mine Geologist
to join the team at our Duketon operation.
Working closely with the Senior Geologists and the Geology superintendent, you will be responsible for Technical advice, planning and methodology in the mine.
This is a FIFO role (8:6 roster) from Perth.
The Main Responsibilities Of This Role Include
* Assisting with the development of grade control procedures
* Generate/design and implement grade control drilling programs
* Assist with the development and implementation of extension and exploration programs within the underground environment
* Assist with the completion of core logging and the improvement of core data systems
* Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the geological interpretations of the Underground Mines ore system
* Assisting with the generation, development and maintenance of grade control databases and block models
* Supervision of Mine technicians in data collection, collation, analysis and interpretation
* Report on geological activities to the Senior Geologist and Geology Superintendent
* Assist in the mine forecasting and scheduling process
* Fulfil Senior Mine Geologist's duties in their absence at appointment
About You
Desired Skills and Experience
To Be Successful For This Role, You Will Have
* Formal tertiary qualification in Geology
* Demonstrated experience working in a similar role within a hard rock underground environment
* Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written
* Work both autonomously and within a team environment
* Current WA class C manual drivers licence
