Profectus is seeking experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineers with deep SAP Security expertise to support the delivery and sustainment of enterprise systems within an Australian Government agency. These roles suit senior practitioners who are comfortable operating in highly governed environments where security, reliability, and compliance are essential. You will provide expert advice on the creation and operational maintenance of system roles, access authorisations, and security profiles, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to support critical capability.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert advice on the design, creation, and ongoing maintenance of SAP Security roles, access authorisations, and security profiles
* Support monitoring and ongoing development across SAP IDM, SAP GRC, and SAP HANA security
* Provide technical knowledge and resolution support for production SAP Security issues
* Drive innovation, changes in workplace practices, and improvements in security operations
* Operate as a technical leader within a broader infrastructure and security capability
* Build and sustain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of SAP Security standards, processes, and practices
Required Experience
* Significant experience working as an SAP Security Engineer or Analyst within Australian Government or similarly governed and secure environments
* Strong technical knowledge of SAP Security platforms, including SAP ABAP, SAP IDM, SAP HANA, and SAP GRC
* Demonstrated experience implementing SAP Security within large, complex enterprise environments
* Proven ability to operate independently, applying high-level judgement and considering wider organisational implications
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to brief technical and non-technical audiences
* Ability to operate effectively within highly governed and secure environments
* Experience with SAP ABAP Profile Generator
* SAP HANA role build experience
* SAP GRC development, monitoring, and role build experience
* SAP IDM development and monitoring experience
* Experience supporting SAP Security across shared services or multi-agency environments
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant technical discipline
Security Requirements
* Must be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Security Clearance
* Current Baseline or NV1 Security Clearance is highly preferred

* Hybrid working arrangement, based in Canberra
