Our client, a tier-one mining company, is seeking experienced Electricians to join their teams across the Pilbara. These FIFO roles offer 2:1 & 2:2 roster options and 3-6 month contracts, with strong potential for extension. FIFO from Perth, candidates from across Australia welcome to apply. As an Electrician in the Rollingstock Wheelshop, you will be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding, and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems that support a semi-automated wheel and axle workshop. This role ensures equipment reliability, safety, and production efficiency within the wheel shop. Key duties include but not limited to:
Maintain and operate equipment within a semi-automated wheel processing facility
Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance on plant and machinery
Fault find and diagnose issues across electrical, instrumentation, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Maintain and support specialised equipment, including: Hegenscheidt 165 Portal Lathe, Wheel boring machines, Axle lathes, Wheel press and demount machines, Bearing press and demount machines, Automated Güdel gantry crane systems
Work collaboratively within a small maintenance team of four
Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes as required
Record and manage maintenance activities using SAP
Ensure all work complies with industry standards, site procedures and safety regulations
Actively contribute to continuous improvement and safe work practices
Requirements
Electrical Trade Qualification
Current Western Australia Electrical Licence (Unrestricted)
High Risk Work Licence - LF, DG, EWP
Current First Aid certificate
Current CPR/ LVR certificate
Working at Heights (preferred)
Valid Drivers Licence (C class)
PLC/Automation experience preferred
Demonstrated electrical experience working in ore processing facilities
Full Australian Working Rights
Ability to produce a National Police Clearance within 12 months
Ability to attend a pre-employment medical
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Demonstrated commitment to safety and zero harm
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
