* Competitive remuneration package up to $124,992 p.a. (package includes salary between $99,938 - $110,271 p.a., plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading)

About the Opportunity
Join the State Library of NSW as a Digital Technologies Specialist, where you’ll play a key role in delivering reliable ICT services that keep our operations running smoothly. This is an exciting opportunity for a tech-savvy professional who thrives on solving complex problems and providing exceptional customer service. You’ll work in a dynamic environment, supporting both staff and public clients, and contribute to innovative technology projects that enhance the Library’s digital capabilities.
Some key responsibilities:
* Provide ICT support for desktop hardware and software, ensuring minimal service interruptions.
* Resolve incidents and problems reported through the ICT Service Desk, following best-practice processes for tracking, escalation, and closure.
* Develop and improve service desk functions, including desktop Standard Operating Environment (SOE) and application packaging using configuration management tools.
* Administer the Library’s desktop computing environment and directory services, managing user databases and group policies for security.
* Offer advice and support for desktop-related projects across the Library.

* Has strong technical expertise in desktop hardware, software, and ICT environments.
* Demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Is customer-focused, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
* Understands ITIL principles and service desk best practices.
* Has experience with configuration management tools and desktop application packaging.
* Stays up-to-date with evolving technologies and enjoys continuous learning.
* Communicates effectively and works collaboratively within a team environment.

Talent Pool
Applicants not initially offered a role but have been assessed through the recruitment process as being suitable will be placed in the Talent Pool to fill future ongoing and temporary vacancies as they arise. Placement in the Talent Pool remains valid for 18 months.
Eligibility to apply
To be eligible to apply for this role you must be either;
* an Australian citizen or
* a permanent resident of Australia, or
* a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand passport or a citizen of another country with an appropriate visa that allows you to work in Australia for the period of temporary employment or if you are seeking ongoing employment, you must hold a permanent visa that allows you to work in Australia.

Appointment to this role is subject to Pre-employment Checks. Additional checks may be required throughout your tenure at the Library should the accountabilities of your role change.
