**The opportunity**
We have a permanent opportunity for a Project Officer to join Customer Systems & Operations branch within the Technology Operations unit soon to be based at Eveleigh while supporting flexible working.
In this newly created role, this person will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and/or enhancement of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), Operational Technology (OT) Network infrastructure, CCTV, Radio and other projects.
The role involves contributing to the project schedule and activities throughout the project lifecycle, including concept design, planning, planning approval, tender, construction, project milestones/deliverables commissioning and handover.
In this uniquely small team, reporting to the Field Infrastructure Team Lead, the key focus will be providing high quality, confidential project and administrative technical services.
**What you will be involved in,**
- Providing technical oversite, design reviews, contractor oversite and management, including Site Acceptance testing and System integration testing
- Providing project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans and documentation.
- Contributing to project schedules and activities throughout the project lifecycle
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they occur
- Scope development and contractor management
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues
- Work cooperatively and demonstrate a continuous improvement and growth mind-set by contributing and testing ideas for improving work practices, collaborating with internal and external business areas, to achieve objectives and work outcomes.
**About you**
- You will have previously worked as a Technician or Project Support Officer in an operational team where you managed projects. This specialist position uniquely combines technical knowledge of ITS & operational support with day to day project management.
- Knowledge of networking principles (fibre), contract management & exceptional communication skills both written and verbal are essential to the success of this role.
- Most importantly you will have a passion for achieving excellence in the delivery of projects in ITS, OT, CCTV and Radio technologies.
- You will demonstrate a great work ethic, provide high quality reports, analytics and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- You will have proven experience working as a team player while possessing the autonomy to manage your own workload.
- A successful applicant will have a can-do attitude, a strong sense of urgency and a desire to constantly learn and evolve.
- Note, this role may require you to work outside of normal business hours, and participate in work onsite, therefore, a valid driving license is an essential requirement for this role.

**Salary and Benefits**
The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 7 ($108,770.00 - $121,822.00) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
