Senior Export Manager

to lead growth in its most strategically important market —

China.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager – International, this senior leadership role will own the export strategy and execution for China, driving profitable growth through robust commercial partnerships, brand building, and effective in-market execution.

You will leverage your deep understanding of China’s food and beverage manufacturing and distribution ecosystem to grow market share, optimise route-to-market strategies, and ensure long-term sustainable partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the China export strategy aligned to corporate objectives.

Build, manage and grow distribution networks across the food and beverage manufacturing, distribution and foodservice channel.

Lead commercial negotiations, pricing, and supply agreements with key partners.

Translate global brand and product strategies into culturally resonant local market plans.

Provide deep market insight to inform business strategy and innovation pipeline.

Collaborate cross-functionally across supply chain, production, marketing and finance to ensure operational excellence in export delivery.

Represent the business as a brand ambassador across trade, government, and partner forums.

About You

You are a commercially astute, bilingual (Mandarin and English) export professional with a strong track record in food and beverage markets across China. You understand both

Chinese and Western business practices

and can navigate the nuances between them with cultural intelligence and confidence.

You will bring:

10+ years’ experience in export, sales or business development within food & beverage or FMCG sectors.

Proven success managing national distribution channels and strategic partnerships in China.

Strong negotiation and relationship management skills, with a growth mindset.

Ability to work effectively within a high-performance, values-driven culture.

Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, International Trade, or related discipline.
