⚕️ The Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced **Clinical Lead – Orthopaedics** to join the Department of Health (DoH) in Tasmania’s North West.
In this leadership role, you will:
* Work with the **Clinical Director – Surgical & Perioperative** to provide strategic direction and high-level leadership.
* Deliver specialist orthopaedic care at **North West Regional Hospital (Burnie)** and **Mersey Community Hospital (Latrobe)**.
* Contribute to service development, integration, and resource optimisation.
* Provide leadership for the **Undergraduate General Medical Education Program** through close ties with the University of Tasmania’s Rural Clinical School.
* Support and guide a team of registrars and junior medical officers within a collaborative and dynamic environment.

* Specialist or limited registration with the **Medical Board of Australia** in Orthopaedics.
* Demonstrated leadership experience and commitment to clinical quality improvement.
* A collaborative, patient-focused approach with enthusiasm for teaching and service development.
