The Job Profile

We're looking for a Production Coordinator to closely collaborate with the Production Manager and Publishers to ensure the efficient, end-to-end delivery of the children's publishing list. A key focus is project managing and delivering re-formats and bespoke book products, utilizing existing content or developing new intellectual property in partnership with the children's team. This role also manages the full production processes of the kids' list, including buy-ins and co-editions, and provides essential general production back-up support.

The Role

This pivotal role serves as the central control point for the entire production process, guaranteeing the highly efficient, cost-effective, and superior-quality delivery of our publishing program. You will actively engage in product innovation and development, collaborating with the publishing team to formulate optimized book specifications, research economical formats, and secure best pricing and costings from global suppliers. This includes rigorous pre-press checks, meticulous quality control across proofs and advances, and managing all facets of the reprint and foreign language co-edition lifecycles, ensuring full compliance with retailer and customer standards.

Beyond core production management, you will be a crucial commercial partner, contributing strategically to print tenders, especially for complex novelty formats, and supporting bespoke product development for key promotions.

The role demands strong organizational skills to coordinate sales material production (ARCs, BLADs) and manage complex logistics, including all shipping information and warehouse documentation.

Ultimately, you are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of production schedules and databases, driving every project from concept to publication on time and on budget, and ensuring the highest standards of publishing excellence.

The Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional diligence and expertise, possessing the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. They will have outstanding interpersonal skills, coupled with an innate positivity and enthusiasm that inspires team members and stakeholders. Crucially, the role requires outstanding abilities in production and project management, underpinned by an organized, detail-oriented, and flexible approach to work, ensuring all schedules are met and deadlines are strictly adhered to.

To apply, please send your resume and cover letter to us as soon as possible, applications are being reviewed immediately. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
