About Us
John Hunter Children's Hospital is one of only three dedicated children's hospitals in NSW, serving as the major paediatric referral centre for Northern NSW. Each year, we care for nearly 25,000 children and young people in our Emergency Department, admit over 10,000 patients and deliver more than 100,000 outpatient services across a wide range of specialties.
What You'll Do
* Provide specialist paediatric palliative care across inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
* Participate in after hours support and statewide on‐call advisory services.
* Collaborate with internal and external healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care.
* Contribute to education and training for medical students, junior doctors, nursing and allied health staff.
* Engage in research, quality improvement and service development initiatives.
What We're Looking For
* Fellowship of the RACP and Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (or equivalent).
* Current specialist registration with AHPRA.
* Demonstrated experience in interdisciplinary teamwork and compassionate care delivery.
* Strong communication, leadership and teaching skills.
