2:1 Roster | 12 hour days | Long term project
An opportunity is available for an experienced Electrical Commissioning Supervisor to lead commissioning and energisation activities across a large-scale industrial project. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring electrical systems are safely tested, verified, and handed over in line with project requirements, Australian standards, and site safety protocols.
Working closely with engineering, construction, and operations teams, you will coordinate commissioning activities from installation verification through to operational readiness. This position suits a technically strong leader who thrives in FIFO environments and is committed to safety, quality, and delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and manage commissioning schedules aligned with construction milestones
* Coordinate with engineering, construction, and HSE teams to ensure safe execution
* Review electrical drawings, specifications, and commissioning documentation
* Lead and mentor commissioning personnel and subcontractors
* Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and maintain quality standards
* Oversee pre-commissioning checks and functional testing of HV/LV systems, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and control panels
* Witness and validate test results and troubleshoot faults
* Ensure compliance with site safety systems and electrical regulations
* Conduct toolbox talks and enforce safe work practices
* Prepare commissioning reports, test certificates, and handover documentation
* Track system status and escalate risks or technical issues
* Verify installations meet design intent and Australian standards
* Identify defects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
About You
* Electrical Trade Certificate or Degree in Electrical Engineering
* Current Electrical Licence (HV Switching desirable)
* Extensive experience in electrical commissioning within heavy industry
* Previous FIFO and remote site experience
* Strong knowledge of HV distribution, substations, and industrial electrical systems
* Proven leadership capability with excellent communication skills
* Ability to interpret drawings and technical documentation
* Safety-focused with strong problem-solving skills and resilience under pressure
