Our client, Boyne Smelters Limited, is seeking a dedicated Maintainer – Diesel Fitter to join their maintenance team at their Gladstone site. This hands-on role is vital for maintaining the reliability and safety of plant and mobile equipment in a large, industrial environment. If you're an experienced Diesel Fitter looking for a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a leading operation, this is your chance.
What You'll Do
* Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on plant and mobile equipment according to work orders and safety standards
* Identify defects and provide feedback on asset condition through RTBS and other systems
* Support defect elimination initiatives and participate in asset reviews
* Complete equipment commissioning and site cleanup post-maintenance
* Work safely under permit systems, adapt to site procedures, and uphold safety standards
* Contribute to continuous improvement in maintenance processes and asset performance
What You Need
* Trade-qualified as a Diesel Fitter / Mechanical Fitter
* Valid Driver's License and Forklift Licence
* Relevant statutory licenses and site competencies
* Auto Air-Conditioning Ticket (preferred)
* Construction White Card
* Ability to read work instructions and technical documents
* Strong commitment to safety, quality, and team collaboration
