Estimator Role
The role of the Estimator is crucial in ensuring the success of our construction projects. As a detail-oriented and proactive professional, you will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive tender bids, supporting project financials, and contributing to the overall success of high-profile construction projects.
We are seeking an experienced Estimator or Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic estimating team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and/or construction management, with experience working on complex commercial projects valued over $30m.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of high-quality tender submissions and cost estimates.
* Conduct quantity take-offs and cost planning for various trades and scopes.
* Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
* Support the Senior Estimator in evaluating documentation and identifying inconsistencies.
* Participate in post-award financial tasks and variation assessments.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, WHS standards, and industry regulations.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the estimating department.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Australian Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship.
* 5 + years' experience in a similar role within commercial construction industry.
* Experience working on complex commercial projects valued over $30m.
* Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to build strong relationships.
* Growth mindset and a genuine desire to develop professionally within a team environment.
* A background in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is highly regarded.
