As their business grows, we are recruiting an Accountant for their finance team.
Your new role
As an Accountant, you'll support day-to-day operations in the Finance Department, assisting the Financial Accountant and CFO. Your duties include delivering accurate accounting services, preparing financial statements, maintaining the general ledger, and producing financial reports. You'll also develop and implement accounting policies, provide financial management advice, and manage payroll, accounts payable, and receivables. Your role ensures compliance with statutory requirements and supports the external audit process, working closely with various stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Business, or Finance, with CA or CPA certification being highly desirable.
Accounting Expertise: Strong understanding of financial management, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
Software Proficiency: Experience with various accounting systems and advanced Excel skills. Strong knowledge of QuickBooks is highly desirable.
Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with statutory requirements, including income taxes, GST, PAYG, and other industry-specific taxes and fees.
Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy and integrity in all financial processes.
Analytical Skills: Capability to resolve complex accounting issues through detailed analysis.
Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
Leadership: Effective leadership through good communication, team involvement, and decision-making.
