The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Demand & Supply Planner is sought to partner closely with Commercial teams to develop accurate demand forecasts and translate them into executable supply plans. This role plays a key part in delivering high service levels, optimising inventory and supporting S&OP / IBP processes in a fast-moving food manufacturing environment.
What you'll be doing
Demand Planning
* Develop and maintain rolling demand forecasts at SKU and customer/channel level
* Analyse historical sales, promotions, seasonality and market trends
* Collaborate with Commercial and Finance to align forecasts
* Facilitate planning routines supporting S&OP / IBP
* Manage weekly and monthly demand changes to align operations with commercial plans
* Own forecast accuracy and bias, driving continuous improvement
* Incorporate new product launches, promotions and phase-outs into forecasts
Supply Planning & Inventory
* Translate demand plans into executable supply and inventory plans
* Maintain purchase, transfer and production orders in ERP systems
* Manage stock clearance activities including sales, dump and donations
* Support logistics and warehousing to ensure accurate inventory tracking
* Identify and communicate service risks and mitigation actions
* Drive reduction in waste, obsolescence and write-offs
* Track and report KPIs including service level, forecast accuracy, inventory and OTIF
Systems & Data
* Use demand planning systems (TPM / Blueshift) and ERP platforms (Microsoft Dynamics)
* Leverage Excel and BI tools to analyse data, generate insights and support decision-making
About You
* 2–5+ years' experience in demand and/or supply planning within FMCG food
* Strong understanding of FMCG supply chains and shelf-life management
* Experience with demand forecasting, supply planning and S&OP / IBP processes
* Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capability
* Comfortable working with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Highly regarded:
* Woolworths or Coles supply chain experience
* Experience with Blueshift or similar demand planning tools
* Microsoft Dynamics ERP experience
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
