Job Description
We are seeking an experienced buyer to join our team in a critical procurement role. As a Manufacturing Buyer, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth delivery of goods and services to our customers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire purchasing process, including creating, issuing, and tracking orders. They will also apply our purchasing strategy using ERP systems and related tools.
A key aspect of this role is building strong relationships with internal teams and suppliers. You will need to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, resolving any issues that arise.
You will also have the opportunity to proactively manage shortages, delays, and non-conformances. Additionally, you will promote continuous improvement and support our LEAN transformation approach.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the primary contact between Thales and suppliers at the production site.
* Manage the entire purchasing process, including creating, issuing, and tracking orders.
* Apply Thales' purchasing strategy using ERP systems and related tools.
* Ensure timely delivery of goods and services, resolving any issues that arise.
* Handle supplier quotations, evaluate offers, and place orders as needed.
* Proactively manage shortages, delays, and non-conformances.
* Promote continuous improvement and support the LEAN transformation approach.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require strong relationship management skills, commercial contract knowledge, and proficiency in ERP purchasing tools and office applications.
You will also need effective order management and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and soft skills, and a proactive and ethical approach.
