About the Role
CareSouth is seeking two (2) dedicated, full-time Caseworkers to join our Griffith team. We strive to encourage safety, healing and connection through healthy relationships. Supporting families, children and young people is core to our values. As a Caseworker you will be part of a team which works dynamically across the child protection spectrum, from family preservation, permanency support, restoration and adoption.
What you need to be successful in your role:
* Demonstrate a commitment to the safety of children, young people and people with a disability.
* Degree or Diploma in Social Work, Social Sciences, Social Welfare, Psychology or equivalent, or currently working towards one.
* Demonstrated understanding of the issues facing vulnerable children and their families.
* Sound interpersonal, facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a high-performing team.
* Proven ability to establish and maintain effective community networks.
* Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills.
* Understanding and commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity, Work Health and Safety, Cultural Awareness and the NSW Child Protection system.
* Willing to undergo a National Police Clearance, obtain a NSW Working with Children Check clearance, and NDIS Worker Clearance.
