The role of Virtual Health Clinician is vital in supporting individuals with health concerns through the Helpline, offering assistance and guidance to Australians. This position involves providing accurate information, assessing symptoms, conducting comprehensive telephone assessments, recommending appropriate care, and referring callers to relevant services.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing timely and informative responses
* Conducting thorough telephone assessments

* Referring callers to other services such as GP Helplines and Urgent Care Clinics
Applicants should have unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse for a minimum of 3 years, at least 3 years of full-time (or equivalent) clinical experience within the last 5 years as a Registered Nurse, and a diverse nursing background involving significant public contact.
Additional requirements include exceptional communication skills, confidence in applying critical thinking and clinical judgment in high-pressure situations, and proficiency in using computer systems and digital communication tools.
This opportunity is available part-time or full-time, with flexible shifts ranging from 2 to 10 hours, operating between 5 PM – 5 AM, Monday to Saturday.
