Technical Sales Representative
Your Mission
You will be responsible for generating, building and maintaining strong relationships with customers (veterinarians, breeders, farm operations, research institutions), and providing technical support in your assigned region. As a key face of Minitube Australia, your role will blend sales, technical education, and customer support.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve or exceed sales targets
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and expand market share
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers (vets, breeders, AI labs, universities)
Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and training sessions (in person and virtually)
Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and advice on reproduction technologies
Liaise with the head office in Victoria to coordinate logistics, inventory, and customer follow-up
Represent the company at industry events, regional shows, field days, and conferences
Gather market intelligence and feedback for product development and improvementPrepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and activity summaries
Your Profile
Proven experience in technical or agricultural sales (ideally in livestock, veterinary, reproduction, biotech or related field)
Strong understanding or ability to learn about reproductive technologies, AI, ET, lab equipment, etc.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, able to work independently and manage your time across a wide region
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed goals
Comfortable travelling regularly within your region/state and occasionally interstate
Valid drivers' licence and willingness to travel
Desirable / Advantageous:
Existing network or contacts in the livestock, veterinary, or breeding industries
Experience delivering training or technical workshops
Understanding of lab procedures and/or veterinary science background
Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools
Tertiary qualifications in Vet Med, Animal/Agricultural Science, Business advantageous
