Key Role in Banquet Kitchen Operations

This highly skilled Sous Chef position requires a seasoned leader who can oversee the day-to-day kitchen operations within the Banquets department. Ensuring exceptional culinary experiences for every event and function is paramount.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, working closely with and leading a team of professionals to prepare dishes that showcase beautiful produce. This role demands creativity, passion, and a strong commitment to quality.

Responsibilities:

* Ensure guests receive top-notch catering and event culinary experiences
* Oversee production, portion control, and presentation of all banquet food items
* Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment at all times
* Assist with stock management, ordering, and food cost control
* Lead, develop, and mentor a passionate kitchen team

Requirements:

* Previous experience as a Sous Chef or similar leadership role within a luxury or high-volume event kitchen
* Strong product knowledge, technical culinary skills, and a commitment to quality
* Passion for crafting superb food and memorable event experiences
* A sound understanding of current kitchen trends and cuisines
* Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
* Comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP
