About the role
Our client, a leader in their field throughout Australia, is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join the team in the role of Operations Manager. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and logistics of the organisation, ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place to support the company's objectives.
What you'll be doing
* Manage and oversee all operational activities, including production, distribution, inventory, and quality control
* Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity
* Coordinate and optimise the flow of materials, resources, and information to meet customer demands
* Analyse operational data, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions
* Manage and lead a team of operational staff, providing guidance, support, and training as needed
* Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and finance, to ensure alignment and cross-functional coordination
* Maintain compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards
* Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and streamline operations
What we're looking for
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar operations management role, preferably in the FMCG manufacturing or processing
* Strong understanding of operational processes, supply chain management, and logistics
* Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
* Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience in implementing operational improvements and driving process optimisation
* Proficient in using relevant software and technology to support operations
* Tertiary qualification in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field is desirable
