Job Description
As a skilled support worker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to individuals in need. Your role will involve assisting registered staff with nursing diagnostic and therapeutic measures, completing documentation accurately and on time, and ensuring that resident care is holistic and of high quality.
You will also be required to strategize and cooperate with colleagues to complete resident care during shifts, execute care in accordance with legislation and corporate policies, and participate in agency risk management and quality improvement programs.
* Assist registered staff in nursing diagnostic and therapeutic measures.
* Complete documentation accurately and on time.
* Ensure holistic approach to resident care.
* Provide assistance and support with meal service and restorative nursing.
* Strategize and cooperate with colleagues to complete resident care.
* Execute care in accordance with legislation and corporate policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require the following skills and qualifications:
* Must be at least 18 years old.
* Proficient verbal and written English communication skills.
* Ability to speak a second language is considered an asset.
* Successful completion of a Ministry of Education approved PSW Training Program or equivalent qualifications.
* Current CPR (BCLS) and First Aid Certificate.
* Meet health surveillance requirements of the Public Hospitals Act.
