NOLA Adelaide is on the hunt for a new head chef to lead our team.
As Head Chef of NOLA, you will:
* Lead day-to-day kitchen operations across service and prep
* Be responsible for hiring, rostering and managing a small team of chefs and kitchen hands
* Monitor and manage key KPIs including food costs and wage costs
* Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation to a high standard
* Develop and evolve our New Orleans inspired menu
* Plan, prepare, and execute catering for on-site functions and special events (from 40 to 80 guests)
* Work collaboratively with the Venue Manager, Marketing and Events Teams
To be successful in this position you will need:
* Experience leading a kitchen team
* Strong leadership and communication skills — cool under pressure, clear in direction
* Excellent understanding of food costings, kitchen financials and rostering
* A commitment to maintaining a positive team culture and safe working environment
* Availability for nights and weekends
