* Cert II in Companion Animal Services or similar desirable.
* $40.30 per hour + superannuation based on skills, qualifications and experience.

About The Role

The Animal Care Attendant is responsible for assisting the Animal Shelter Team to provide care and basic animal health to animals housed at the shelter such as cleaning and maintaining animal shelter facilities, feeding and watering, bathing and grooming animals under the supervision of the Coordinator Animal Shelter.

About You

* Cert II in Companion Animal Services or similar desirable
* Demonstrated ability to verbally and visually identify and describe animals, for instance the colours, sizes and breeds of different species
* Demonstrated experience in animal care, behaviour & handling skills
* Ability to listen, understand and empathise with others
* Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment and make basic sound decisions based on animal hygiene and welfare.
* Ability to work on a roster as reasonably required including weekends and public holidays
* Current 'C' class driver's licence
* Basic First Aid training mandatory
