About The Role
Do you relish organisational administration? Are you solutions oriented? The International Development (ID) team is looking for a Unit Manager to provide administrative guidance and support services to the International Development team in Australia and across the Indo-Pacific region, with a focus on unit-wide administration, HR, corporate processes, policies and systems and travel.
Core Accountabilities
Administration- Manage the unit administration tasks including ID SharePoint, ID Operations Manual/helpdesk with a focus on process quality controlHR- Manage activities including workflows pertaining to recruitment, induction, onboarding, performance management processes, contracting for staff, consultants and other entities working on media development projects with project staff, as well as related insurance management, risk assessments and policy complianceExecutive Assistant support- to Manager IDTravel-Provide advice on and undertake project travel proposals, costings, bookings and reconciliationsFinance – provide advice and task support on paying invoices, setting up vendors, and raising and actioning purchase orders
About You
Demonstrated extensive Indo-Pacific media development program and/or unit-wide management skills, highly advanced administrative and organisational skills, with an aptitude for problem-solving, accuracy, attention to detail and meeting deadlinesYou are a good communicator with highly advanced ability to foster and establish key working relationships with internal and external stakeholders with the ability to work in a flexible team-based environmentHighly advanced ability to be effective and discrete when dealing with confidential matters, with strong networks across the ABCYou have sound experience working across ABC admin and IT systems such as MyRequests; myWorkSpace; Concur; SharePoint as well as ABC policies and processes. Highly preferable is also experience meeting Commonwealth contractual requirements (such as DFAT).Indo-Pacific lived experience and/or significant experience working with Indo-Pacific partners and countries is highly desirable.
