At Vistaprint, we help millions of small business owners create products that stand out. Our Melbourne production team is looking for a skilled Print Operator who takes pride in precision, quality, and efficiency.
What you’ll do:
* Set up, calibrate, and operate high-speed digital presses and/or Large Format printing machines (e.g., HP Indigo, Kornits, Epson, Collarado, Canon etc.)
* Set up and calibrate printers based on job specifications and order requirements and ensure quick changeovers
* Conduct routine daily and weekly maintenance; troubleshoot minor mechanical or software issues to minimize downtime.
* Perform constant visual inspections and work with Quality team to ensure color consistency, registration, and lack of defects.
* Work closely with the production team to meet daily output targets and deadlines
* Troubleshoot minor technical issues and escalate major ones when necessary
* Review incoming digital files for accuracy, ensuring resolution, bleed, and color profiles meet production standards.
* Support finishing tasks as needed (e.g., trimming, guillotining, padding, binding, die cutting, folding, laminating, UV coating, packing, Scoring and Perforation)
* Monitor levels of ink, toner, and substrates, reporting shortages before they become \"emergencies.\"
* Follow safety and quality assurance protocols at all times

* Adhere to all OHS policies and procedures as provided by the organization and legislation
* Take reasonable care of themselves and others who may be affected by their actions
* Report all hazards, accidents and incidents immediately
* Ensure that personal protective clothing and equipment is worn and used to perform the job safely

This role operates within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment medical assessment relevant to the role.
