Accounts Payable officer - Full-time Job - Hybrid - Richmond

This well-known construction organisation has been operating in Melbourne for over 20 years. Due to the success and growth of this reputable organisation, they are looking to expand their finance team with an experienced accounts payable officer. Based in Richmond, you will be joining a team of friendly, experienced, and hard-working professionals.
**Your new role**
In your new position you will be responsible for ensuring allocated accounts are processed to meet all monthly accounts payable targets and deadlines to enable business transactions to occur accurately and on time. Some of your duties will include:
- Verifying the accuracy of invoices against dockets and statements
- Processing creditor payments, matching invoices to purchase orders, verifying goods received, investigating discrepancies and data entry
- Reconciling bank statements by comparing statements with the general ledger
- Administrative support as required
- Amongst other duties
**What you'll need to succeed**
In order to succeed you will have:
- 2+ years of experience within a similar role and industry
- High volume accounts payable experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and people skills
- Experience using Excel, knowledge of accounting systems such as Jobpac
