Overview
Swan City Youth Service (SCYS) has been delivering services to disadvantaged and disengaged young people in the Midland area for 40 years. For more than 20 years we have delivered in partnership with Midland TAFE, a CGEA programme for disengaged young people. The CGEA II is the equivalent of a Year 10 Certificate and is the minimum requirement for any further study, traineeship, apprenticeship or entry into the Defence Force. This programme has grown at an incredible pace this year, having previously had 8-10 students on a Tuesday to over 20, and because of this we are needing the support of a Volunteer to assist in tutoring some of our young people in English and Maths.
Responsibilities
* Provide tutoring in English and Maths to CGEA II students.
* Support the delivery of the CGEA programme in partnership with Midland TAFE.
