About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Tradesperson to join our startup team at Movie World, Oxenford, Gold Coast. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our world-class rides and attractions.
Key Responsibilities
* Routine Safety Checks: Conduct thorough pre-opening safety inspections to guarantee a secure environment for our guests and staff.
* BREAKDOWN RESPONSE: Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions within set timeframes.
* Stock Control and Deliveries: Maintain accurate inventory levels and coordinate deliveries to ensure seamless operational continuity.
* Safety Procedures: Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines, prioritizing self-safety and the well-being of colleagues.
* Licenses and Training: Acquire necessary equipment licenses and participate in ongoing training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
* Daily Tasks: Complete assigned duties as directed by the Engineering Supervisor, embracing opportunities for growth and improvement.
* Process Improvement: Suggest enhancements to work procedures, promoting efficiency and productivity within the department.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* A minimum of an Engineering Certificate III – Mechanical Trade qualification.
* Prior post-trade experience is highly desirable, with a proven track record in breakdown maintenance and diagnostics.
* Strong analytical skills, enabling you to read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
* Familiarity with welding and fabrication techniques would be advantageous.
* A valid Forklift license and EWP ticket are beneficial.
* Physical fitness to perform tasks involving ladder and stair climbing, working at heights up to 60m.
* The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Experience with digital Maintenance systems.
