This pivotal role focuses on delivering impactful IT business solutions within the electrical LV distribution sector. A deep understanding of electricity distribution processes, technology integration, and regulatory frameworks is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with electricity utility customers to implement, develop, and optimise analytics solutions within their environment.
* Lead cross-functional initiatives and provide insights into business processes driving operations in electricity distribution, transmission, and retail.
* Work across multiple departments to deliver practical, technology-driven solutions addressing key business challenges.
* Design innovative analytics features for smart metering systems, DER solutions, and other technologies to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with Australian, NZ, and US regulatory frameworks.
* Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to engage and educate stakeholders at all levels.
* Collaborate on data management, ensuring privacy and security protocols are met.
* Monitor industry trends, including renewable technologies, and incorporate these into business strategies.
Requirements:
* Experience: At least 10 years working within an Australian or NZ electricity distribution business, with exposure to multiple departments.
* Work Rights: Must hold full Australian working rights and provide supporting documentation.
* Education: Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
* Police Check: Willing to undergo a National Police Check with a clear outcome.
* Vendor Management: Minimum of 5 years working with IT vendors in the electrical distribution industry.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Australian, NZ, and US regulatory frameworks and motivations behind regulations.
* Technology Expertise: Knowledge of smart metering, DER systems, renewable technologies, and DOE.
* Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.
* Business Process Knowledge: Deep understanding of electricity distribution processes from operational to customer management and privacy.
* Global Framework: Familiarity with global electricity distribution, transmission, and retail business models.
* Presentation and Training: Proven ability to lead meetings, workshops, and deliver presentations to diverse audiences.
