We are looking for a qualified and experienced individual to join the Hobsons Bay City Council’s Parks department as a member of our Parks Maintenance team.
As the successful applicant. you will be part of a team of like-minded people responsible for the daily maintenance and presentation of Hobsons Bay City Councils unique and varied open spaces.
What You’ll Be Working On
* Perform horticultural and park maintenance tasks, including mowing, garden care, weeding and mulching.
* Operate and maintain mechanical plant and equipment.
* Record work outputs and maintenance requests in Council systems.
* Ensure compliance with safety protocols and conduct site-specific Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
* Contribute positively to team operations and provide on-the-job training as needed.
What You Need To Succeed
* Trade Certificate in Horticulture or relevant experience.
* Victorian Driver’s License (MR truck endorsement preferred).
* Preferred certifications: Agricultural Chemical Users Permit, Chainsaw License, First Aid Certificate.
