About the Role BDO's Real Estate Advisory team works with government and private sector clients across a range of sectors including residential development, social and affordable housing, Built to Rent (BTR), hotels, industrial, transport, and health, as well as other traditional asset classes.
We are currently looking for a Real Estate professional at a Senior Manager level to join our growing team in Brisbane to deliver and advise on significant projects within the Real Estate and Infrastructure space.
As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of Real Estate and Infrastructure projects nationally, while gaining experience in property advisory engagements and transactions across a wide range of asset classes.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
Manage and/or work as part of the team responsible for the on‑time and on‑budget delivery of engagements.
Undertake business development activities including engaging with current and potential future clients.
Develop and implement engagement pursuit strategies, prepare proposals and manage tender processes.
Manage and coordinate third‑party sub‑contractors.
Share awareness of the broader real estate market environment and industry trends across other divisions of the firm and our clients.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, project stakeholders, project partners and broader industry.
About You We’re looking for applicants who have a broad range of different skillsets relating to Real Estate Advisory. If you do not meet all criteria listed below but have solid experience in this space or a number of these criteria, we would welcome your application.
Your Qualifications May Include
Tertiary qualifications in either property economics or another real‑estate focused degree.
Certified Practising Valuer registration.
Real Estate Licence.
Your Skills And Experience May Include
Previous experience and/or exposure to general real estate advisory across government and/or the private sector (desirable).
Digital proficiency in commercial real estate platforms, such as Argus Estate Master, and financial modelling and analysis in Excel.
An understanding of real estate related technical competencies and ability to interpret technical reports.
Property transaction (acquisition and disposal) experience.
Ability to navigate current planning schemes, with an understanding of property fundamentals and industry participants.
Understanding and experience in dealing with property leases.
Strong collaboration skills gained from working across multi‑disciplinary teams involved in the delivery of real estate projects.
Attention to detail and willingness to learn and develop within a growing team environment.
Well‑developed report writing skills and proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
