About The Role
This role places student wellbeing at the centre of all practice, providing therapeutic support and leadership in casework management. You will work with the team to develop support plans, ensuring young people feel safe, supported and ready to learn. You will monitor interventions, coordinate external referrals and respond to crises, while guiding and developing the Youth Worker team. In partnership with teachers, you will support regulation and behaviour to strengthen engagement across the school day.
This position supports the Primary School and is Term Time Only, requiring availability between 8:00AM and 4:06PM (76 hours per fortnight). Availability from: 15th January 2026.
Your Day-to-day Will Involve
* Lead and oversee student casework, ensuring timely, purposeful and student-centred interventions
* Provide calm, therapeutic support to students experiencing emotional distress, behavioural escalation or crisis
* Coordinate external referrals and liaise with families and agencies
* Supervise, mentor and support Youth Workers, with a strong focus on wellbeing, professional supervision and preventing burnout
About You
You are a calm, emotionally intelligent professional who understands that wellbeing is the foundation for learning. You bring strong therapeutic insight, sound judgement and confidence in complex situations. Experienced in trauma-informed practice, you are skilled at managing casework, supporting vulnerable young people and guiding teams through challenging moments. You value collaboration, uphold professional boundaries and model compassion, consistency and accountability in everything you do.
In addition,
* Diploma in Youth Work a related discipline
* Experience supporting at‑risk or marginalised young people, including those impacted by trauma, neglect, substance use or self-harm
* A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
* Open Drivers Licence and willingness to drive a 12 seater minibus
