About The Role

As a Business Development Manager at me&u, you will own net-new venue acquisition across your territory, partnering with some of the most ambitious hospitality operators in the market.

This is a true growth role focused on identifying opportunities, building pipeline, and converting new venues through a consultative, solutions‐led sales process. You'll work closely with operators to understand their day‐to‐day challenges and position me&u as a long‐term partner that helps them grow revenue, improve guest experience, and operate more efficiently.

Role

You will have high autonomy over your territory, clear targets, and the opportunity to influence how we sell as we continue to scale. This role is designed with a focus distribution of:

* 70% Prospecting and contracting new clients
* 20% Client experience and relationship management
* 10% Sales administration and compliance

This role is primarily focused on net-new venue acquisition. Client experience and relationship management relate to ensuring a high‐quality handover and activation, rather than ongoing account management.

What You'll Do

Prospecting & Contracting

* Own the full sales cycle for your territory, from self‐sourced prospecting and discovery through to demo, negotiation, contracting, and handover.
* Achieve sales targets through a consultative, solutions‐led approach that meets client needs.
* Actively build and leverage referral pipelines with industry partners as a core growth channel.
* Build and manage a healthy, high‐velocity pipeline to consistently achieve quarterly targets.
* Lead client meetings and involve senior sales leaders for enterprise opportunities when required.
* Stay across product updates and ensure adherence to me&u pricing and proposal policies.

Client Experience

* Deliver a seamless experience from sale to activation, including clear handover to Onboarding Specialists.
* Partner with Onboarding and Account Management to remove post‐sale blockers and ensure successful activation and clean handover.
* Share client and market insights with the Director of Sales to inform product direction.

Sales Operations

* Maintain high data quality and forecast accuracy, recognising CRM discipline as critical to sales performance and business decision‐making.
* Use internal tools effectively, including Slack, Salesforce, Notion, and reporting dashboards.

What We're Looking For

* Must have a valid driver's license and access to a car.
* Experience in business development, sales, or account acquisition, ideally within hospitality, SaaS, or technology.
* Proven ability to self‐generate pipeline rather than relying solely on inbound leads.
* Comfortable working in a fast‐changing, scaling environment.
* Strong commercial judgement, with a focus on deal quality and long‐term customer value.
* Prospecting and pipeline management skills, with experience owning the full sales cycle.
* A consultative selling mindset, with the ability to understand client challenges and tailor solutions.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, both in person and virtually.
* Ability to work with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple opportunities at once.
* A collaborative approach and willingness to share knowledge to help the wider team succeed.

* Consistently building and converting a strong pipeline of net‐new venues.
* Hitting sales targets through a consultative, value‐led sales approach.
* Delivering clean handovers and high‐quality activations.
* Becoming a trusted contributor within the Sales team and broader GTM function.
