What you’ll do
- Report directly to directors and managers on day‑to‑day operations of appointments
- Lead diverse investigations
- Liaise with creditors, banks, and statutory authorities
- Investigate distressed companies’ financial affairs
- Collaborate on complex technical issues with directors, managers, and business leaders
- Prioritise and manage workloads to meet deadlines
- Analyse financial statements and related data
- Conduct high‑level solvency analyses
- Prepare detailed reports and client communications
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Business/Commerce with an Accounting major or equivalent
- CA/CPA qualified or in progress
- Proven Australian experience in a similar role within an insolvency environment across personal and corporate insolvency
- Comprehensive knowledge of technical accounting concepts and relevant insolvency law, including the Corporations Act 2001 and Bankruptcy Act 1966
- Previous experience with computerised accounting systems such as INSOL, XERO, MYOB
- A high level of emotional intelligence and solid interpersonal skills
- Proven time management skills, high level of attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork and the ability to build solid relationships with stakeholders
