Role Responsibilities
Leadership and direction in the strategic development and management of a comprehensive multidisciplinary community mental health team.
Effective management of specified human and physical resources.
Leadership, direction and change management to facilitate the progression of the current Mental Health Service Strategic Plan through the implementation of the associated model of care, and relevant service policies, procedures and guidelines.
Optimal clinical processes and individual client outcomes.
Enhanced consumer and carer participation at all levels of the service.
Actively contribute to the clinical leadership and management of a multidisciplinary community mental health team to ensure the provision of a high quality, comprehensive, specialist mental health service to a designated population group within a specified regional area in accordance with the principles and goals specified in the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan.
Support the Team Leader by assuming a lead role in the oversight of designated clinical processes associated with the optimal operation of a community mental health team, including intake, crisis response, interim support, assertive case management and general team coordination.
Undertake the line and performance management of a designated group of staff within a specified community mental health team.
Essential Qualifications
Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self-regulated allied health professions, full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association.
Registration/licences that are essential for this role must remain current and valid at all times while employed.
Desirable Experience
Minimum of 3 years' postgraduate clinical experience in the context of a community mental health team.
Appointment Details
Permanent full-time, day-worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary and Benefits
Salary range: $123,717 to $134,336 per annum.
12 % superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary package includes living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year and other benefits if eligible.
Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
