As a Senior Substation SCADA and Automation Engineer, you will be working on high-voltage projects across Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about reimagining problems and continuous learning.
Our team is looking for a skilled professional with extensive experience in controls (automation) and SCADA, ideally applied to delivering complete end-to-end solutions without needing external support. You will have a detailed understanding of control system hardware and software from major vendors such as Citect, Foxboro, GE, Schweitzer, and Siemens.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical or computer engineering and 5 or more years' experience in leading design and commissioning roles for complex upgrades of existing plant. You will also have familiarity with hardware employed and nomenclature used with regard to Primary and Secondary systems, as utilised in Transmission and Distribution Substations.

Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct, lead, review, and verify detailed designs and technical reports for the client, including substation schemes.
* Lead and deliver the concept to commissioning of substation automation systems.
* Understand the critical technical aspects of projects, implementation, and integration for complex systems.
* Focus on transmission and distribution substations', automation and SCADA.
* Assisting with project tenders and ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget.
* Coordination and liaison with client SCADA representatives to ensure end-to-end displays and databases are aligned for commissioning.
* Undertake site inspections and associated reporting.
* Liaise with clients and contractors regarding project objectives and targets on technical issues and problem resolution.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree qualifications in electrical/computer engineering preferred.
* 5 or more years' experience in Controls (automation) and SCADA, ideally applied to delivering complete end-to-end solutions without needing external support.
* Extensive experience and demonstrated knowledge of control system hardware and software from major vendors such as Citect, Foxboro, GE, Schweitzer, and Siemens.
* Strong experience in leading design and commissioning roles for complex upgrades of existing plant.
* Familiarity in the hardware employed and nomenclature used with regard to Primary and Secondary systems, as utilised in Transmission and Distribution Substations.
