Insight Landscapes is a well-established, high-end residential landscape construction company delivering premium projects across Greater Sydney, Western Sydney, Southern Highlands and the Illawarra. With our office and factory based in the Wollongong region, we are seeking an experienced Operational / Construction Manager to lead and oversee our construction operations.
About the Role
The Operational / Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing all construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing and delivering high-end residential landscape construction projects from commencement through to completion.
* Overseeing daily construction operations across multiple sites.
* Preparing, issuing and maintaining construction schedules and programs, adjusting as required.
* Providing leadership, direction and support to site supervisors, trades and subcontractors.
* Monitoring project budgets, productivity and performance to ensure targets and projections are achieved.
* Reviewing and administering construction contracts, variations and progress claims.
* Liaising closely with clients, consultants and contractors to maintain strong working relationships.
* Ensuring compliance with WHS requirements and company procedures.
* Reporting operational performance and project updates directly to the Director.
* Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and overall efficiency.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
* Qualifications in Building, Landscape Construction, Project Management or a relevant trade background.
* Minimum 10 years’ experience within the building or landscape construction industry.
* Demonstrated experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
* Strong knowledge of construction programming, contract administration and cost control.
* Proven leadership experience managing supervisors, trades and subcontractors.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
* A proactive mindset with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
