Job Opportunity
As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for providing onsite engineering services and technical support to ensure short-term planning and programming of works is completed in conjunction with the site supervision staff.
The successful candidate will have experience in ensuring compliance with technical specifications, applicable legislation, approvals, and standards, as well as exercising professional judgement in resolving engineering issues.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with technical specifications, applicable legislation, approvals, and standards
* Conduct and administer overall job planning and programming including short-range and intermediate activities for construction projects for approval by the Project Manager
* Exercise professional judgement in resolving engineering issues, i.e. construction methods, design, engineering procedures, etc.
* Demonstrate financial management skills including reducing costs and meeting budgets
* Verify subcontractors' claims and variations
* Undertake cost controlling and estimating as required by the Site Manager
* Maintain drawing register controls for the project
* Manage work and performance of teams and subcontractors to achieve project outcomes
Requirements
* Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction, Construction Management or equivalent
* Minimum 2 years' engineering experience
* Construction management and specific technical skills base relevant to program of work and discipline area
* Skill in use of document and record management, progress and project performance reporting compliance and procedures
