Sales Assistant – Lotto & Retail
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service while promoting and selling a range of products, including lotto tickets. You will be an important part of our daily operations and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist customers with enquiries and purchases in a friendly and professional manner
* Operate the point-of-sale system for retail items, services, and lotto ticket sales
* Provide accurate information on lotto games, prizes, and promotions
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised store environment
* Stock shelves and monitor inventory levels
* Handle cash transactions and balance registers accurately
Requirements
* Previous experience in a TattsLotto outlet or kiosk is essential
* Experience in retail sales, newsagency, or similar environment is preferred
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Basic math skills and confidence handling cash
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and proactively
* Professional, helpful, polite, and attentive to all customers
* Punctual, reliable, and flexible
* Availability to work weekdays and weekends
Benefits
* Ongoing casual position
* 2–4 shifts per week (4–5 hours per shift) (depending on operational requirements), Monday to Saturday, on a rotating roster
