HYDAC, a major international manufacturer of Hydraulic Motion & Control solutions, is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Purchasing & Logistics Assistant to join our Melbourne Logistics team at Head Office in Altona North.
About the Role
In this key position, you will manage the end-to-end procurement and logistics process, ensuring materials are sourced efficiently and delivered in a timely, cost-effective manner to meet business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Place and manage purchase orders, ensuring prompt order confirmations from suppliers.
* Review and resolve order confirmations to align with company requirements.
* Coordinate with supply chain and logistics to ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery of supplies.
* Process shipments in the system and forward invoices to Accounts.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a well-organized, detail-oriented professional with:
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to track and expedite orders to meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with suppliers, logistics providers and internal teams.
* A proactive and self-driven approach, with the ability to work independently.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
* A background of at least 2~3 years in import logistics and purchasing is highly advantageous.
