Job Title: Public Relations Specialist
This role is ideal for recent graduates eager to grow their skills in communication and engagement. The successful candidate will develop written content for various channels and assist with event coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
* Research, write and prepare written communication materials including media releases, blog posts, case studies, reports and website copy for publishing through relevant channels.
* Assist with logistical requirements for events that target stakeholders and support brand awareness.
* Contribute to content creation and management of social media accounts according to our strategy, including Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
* Support creation of other communications materials including videos, podcasts, tools and resources.
* Support updates and management of the website through Wordpress.
* Review and report on communications activities.
Requirements:
* A degree in a relevant discipline such as Agricultural Science, science communications, public relations or marketing.
* Experience in professional writing, social media and preparing clear, accurate and timely communication materials.
* Event coordination experience using organisational skills to set priorities and meet deadlines to deliver an outcome.
* Passion for science and communication.
