Overview
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, reliable and friendly lifeguard to join the team on a casual basis. Our lifeguards are responsible for the day-to-day pool operations within the facility and ensuring that all areas both in and surrounding the pools are safe and enjoyable for all patrons. This role requires a passion for safety around the water, energy, and strong customer service to ensure patrons enjoy their visit.
Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day pool operations and maintain a safe and clean environment around the pool and surrounding areas.
* Communicate effectively with patrons of diverse ages, abilities, cultures and needs.
* Provide excellent customer service and safety supervision during shifts.
* step in for the Operations Manager when not on shift (requires plant room and rostering experience).
Hours
Hours are available during the week and the weekend.
Skills & Attributes
* Excellent verbal communication skills
* Understanding of OHS and public safety applications within the facility
* Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
* National Police Check
* Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
* Current Pool Operations Certificate is not essential but highly regarded
* Previous experience in a comparable role is not essential but highly regarded
