The Opportunity
Campus Development and Services (CD&S) is responsible for the planning, development, and management of UniSC's physical environment across multiple campuses. The division delivers the University's capital works program and ensures its facilities, infrastructure, and operational environments support teaching, research, and community engagement. This includes master planning, asset management, capital project delivery, sustainability initiatives, and the coordination of complex operational interfaces across a live university environment.
Within this context, this role leads the end-to-end delivery of complex capital projects from early planning and business case development through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover. You will manage budgets, risk, governance, and stakeholder engagement across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring outcomes are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and to quality expectations. You will also play a key role in driving continuous improvement in project delivery frameworks and supporting strategic infrastructure priorities across the University.
You will
* lead end-to-end delivery of complex capital works projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and handover;
* manage project governance, budgets, risk, reporting, and stakeholder engagement across multiple internal and external groups; and
* ensure projects are delivered safely, sustainably, and in line with UniSC's strategic asset and infrastructure objectives.
About you
You are an experienced project management professional with a strong background delivering complex capital works in live operational environments. You bring excellent stakeholder management skills, strong financial and contract administration capability, and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple high-value projects.
You are confident engaging with executives, consultants, contractors, and operational teams, and you are skilled at translating strategic requirements into successful project outcomes. You take a structured, solutions-focused approach to delivery, with a strong focus on governance, risk, and continuous improvement.
You will possess
* Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline (or equivalent experience);
* Demonstrated experience delivering complex capital works projects in operational environments;
* Strong knowledge of project governance, procurement, contract administration, and risk management;
* Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and stakeholder expectations across multiple projects;
* Experience preparing executive reports, business cases, and project documentation;
* Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills; and
* Current driver's licence (essential)
