Key Responsibilities
Will vary based on experience and goals, and generally will include:
* Preparing financial statements (including GPFS) & income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships
* Preparation, lodgment and review of BAS, IAS, and other statutory compliance
* Providing tax planning and general business advice (ex. CGT, FBT, QBCC guidelines) to multi-industry clientele up to $50 million in turnover
* An opportunity to manage and review workflow of the onshore and offshore team for Supervisors/Managers
* Getting involved with strategic advisory work (such as building forecast models), creating long-lasting relationships with clients and growing your network
Skills and Experience
* At least 5+ years' experience working as an accountant in an Australian public practice firm
* Proven experience servicing clients of at least $5 million in turnover
* Fully-qualified CPA/CA qualification (or in progress)
* Able to build long-term client relationships and motivated by growth
* Keen to be 'on the tools' as compliance is still a component of this role
