About the roleReporting directly to our Executive Director, the Financial Controller owns financial management, reporting, compliance and internal controls across the Group's four entities, including our not-for-profit. It's a hands‐on, senior role with real ownership: you'll deliver accurate, timely financial information to support decision‐making, lead a small finance team, and keep our governance and compliance tight as the business scales.
Key responsibilitiesPrepare and oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, including consolidated reporting across four entities
Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management, and maintain financial models and KPIs
Maintain internal controls, financial policies, and tax and regulatory compliance, and coordinate the annual audit
Manage the not-for-profit's financial and reporting obligations, including ACNC and ORIC requirements and any grant acquittals
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll, including award rates and on‐costs
Lead and develop the finance team and drive continuous improvement of systems and processes
Partner with the leadership team to support strategic and commercial decisions
About youCA or CPA qualified
Strong financial reporting and compliance experience, ideally across multiple entities
Advanced Excel and finance‐systems capability
Confident managing stakeholders and leading a small team
Analytical, detail‐oriented and commercially minded
Exposure to not‐for‐profit reporting and/or payroll, awards and on‐costs is highly regarded
