The Role & Business
Working as a Junior Estimator for National Builder, you will be reporting to an experienced Director and Estimating Manager. You will have the opportunity to have a clear route into a Senior role and make the position your own as the business continues to grow.
You will be working on a range of health and commercial projects within Sydney. Typically working on 1-3 concurrent projects depending on the size of the projects.
The jobs you will be pricing are all with repeat business clients, so the project is yours to lose. Going against the grain to the typical Estimator role you will partner with subbies and avoid tedious chasing up to get quotes after measuring.
This position would ideally suit a candidate with a construction related degree with at least 1 year of experience estimating fit-out and refurbishment projects for a reputable Australian business.
The Builder are a well recognised and respected within their commercial project range of $500k - $5M and growing across Fit-Out & Refurb. They pride themselves on team harmony, a strong culture and recognise people want to enjoy where they work and they are happy to facilitate as they feel this results in a productive workforce. The business hire on personality with the intention of investing heavily in training and mentoring so you can grow with the business long term - they are not a project to project company when it comes to hiring staff.
Qualifications & Experience
* You will have finished a Bachelor of Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Architecture
* You will have a minimum of 1 year post grad industry experience working for a recognised Contractor in Sydney
* Your key drivers will be about wanting to be part of something and work with professional people whilst building quality projects
* Your attitude will be your biggest asset - you will be hard working, have a positive mindset and be eager to learn
* You will have worked with good construction software
